Allison M. DePaola is originally from North Branford, Connecticut.  She graduated, Summa Cum Laude, in 2005, from Quinnipiac University School of Business with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing in 2005.  She then attended Quinnipiac University School of Law, where she co-created and managed the Quinnipiac Guardian Ad Litem training course and became a certified Guardian Ad Litem.  While attending law school, she worked at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, Connecticut.  In 2008, she graduated, Cum Laude, and was admitted to practice in both Connecticut and New York.  Allison is an active member of the American, Connecticut, New York, and New Haven County Bar Associations, the Orange Chamber of Commerce, and the New Haven Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals section.

Allison enjoys the practice of law because of the many opportunities she has to use the law to help people – be it helping individuals or families with estate planning issues or creating special needs trusts, helping individuals form a new business or providing existing businesses with service contracts or employee contracts, or helping an individual or family to buy or sell a home.  She particularly finds it exciting to learn about different businesses, especially new web based or digital businesses, and help them address their legal needs to form practical, customized legal documents so they can conduct and grow their successful businesses.

Allison likes volunteering and being active in programs that give back to her local community.  In 2009, she helped form “Open Your Heart, Help the Community, Inc.,” a New Haven County based non-profit, and currently serves as the Vice President on the Board.  She also serves on the Board of a local committee to fundraise for the Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance (FARA).  Every fall, Allison rallies a large group of family members and friends to participate in the Best Buddies of Connecticut’s annual Walk a Thon and the Alzheimer’s Memory walk at Lighthouse Point (in honor of her grandfather).  She also helps to coordinate the annual Yale Sappern Memorial Scholarship annual Golf Tournament.

When she is not practicing law or volunteering, Allison operates a small web based family business.  In her leisure, she enjoys spending quality time with her very large family and close friends, boating, football, and figure skating.
